The global educational scenario requires resilience, critical thinking, collaboration and the skill sets which can act as a bridge between traditional academic education and practical contemporary career preparedness. The current school-based career development programs play an essential element to approach this need, bestowing new and ingenious methods to equip the students to succeed in dynamic employment landscapes. This paper focuses on exploring the evolutionary approaches in school-based career programs to examine practices such as technology integration, problem-based learning, joyful learning, and collaborative partnerships. By in-depth investigating case studies and real-world applications, this paper accentuates modern educational practices, challenges, and further recommendations to scale effective competency-based practices to cater for the global educational needs. It also underlines the importance of aligning current goals of education with career effectiveness, determined to foster a secure and sustainable future for students and the whole society.
